General overview of Managed IT Services
Managed Services redefine the way we look at IT Support. enlinea can take over all or part of your IT infrastructure and change the way your IT is managed.
SME’s on average lose 183 productive hours every year, waiting for IT problems to be fixed. (Research by London Business School). Reduce the impact on your business with our Managed Service Support. Our qualified and specially trained computer technicians remove all the IT headaches for SME’s ensuring systems are secure, up to date and efficient.
With our 24x7 monitoring, updating and protection systems we hope to shield you from unwanted IT issues on a pro-active basis. In the event of an issue being detected our reactive team aim to get the problem fixed before it impacts on your business. In most cases the issue can be resolved remotely within minutes. Should an on-site visit be necessary, we can have an engineer on-site within hours for clients based in Glasgow, Stirling and Edinburgh.
Our services are carefully manged under a Service Level Agreement (SLA) which is tuned to the exact requirements of each client.
In addition we provide fully hosted options for email and backup with your data being stored online within our cloud environment.

monitorIT
A key factor in managed IT support is having real-time information about all aspects of the network and systems being supported. Our software agents and probes are feeding back critical information to our helpdesk 24x7. Our staff will act on these in accordance with your service level agreement.
We have multiple alerting systems which can also alert you or your in-house IT Support staff (e.g. by SMS, email etc) should a connection or system go down.
Our monitoring works on systems based anywhere in the world as long as they are connected to the internet.
On the right is a sample of the type of overview we use.
updateIT
A number of issues can arise because systems are not running the latest version of software. Software development is a complicated process and almost every piece of software will have updates issued at some point in its lifespan. These updates may resolve security loopholes or may fix part of the software functionality. With common software we find that may issues have already been solved by the software vendor and all that is required is the update.
Our managed services software tracks the versions of key software (such as Microsoft Windows or Microsoft Office) and allows us to approve updates as they are required. This also protects you from instances where updates are automatically applied without being tested in your IT environment, causing problems.
We can see at a glance which computers and systems are update to date and any that might not be updating properly.
protectIT
Anyone who reads the media will be aware of the threats posed by computer viruses and attempts to breach network security. We have multiple options covering firewalls, anti-virus, anti-malware and anti-spam. All are managed centrally on your behalf – if one system has out of date antivirus, for example, we know about it and can take steps to ensure its updated.
administerIT
Resetting passwords, creating new users accounts or setting up email. Our basic services includes all the basic IT administrator duties and can be customised to include more.
By having someone to call on your staff can get immediate help to get them back working again. We find this can also help remove cases where a simple issue has occurred but the user innocently creates a much bigger problem by trying to resolve it without advice.
fixIT
Despite all of the above, faults do occur. Hard drives and power supplies fail, files can become corrupted, people can accidentally break equipment etc. When this happens our fast response and extensive experience will ensure the problem is fixed as quickly as possible. We will also do our best to make sure the issue does not re-occur and where necessary advise you on any improvements needed.
Our remote access tools are very advanced and many desktop system issues can be resolved without interrupting the user sessions. We can run commands remotely, repair registry entries and push installs of software. Where necessary we can also take full remote control of the PC and see exactly what the user sees (the user can also see us working and monitor what we are doing). In this type of interactive session the user is notified when we are connected and disconnected.
Where an on-site visit is necessary we cover much of central Scotland (Glasgow, Stirling, Edinburgh, Ayr) but can arrange on-site support further a field. Depending on the service level agreed an engineer can be on-site within hours. We have a small fleet of well maintained service vehicles and still recognise the importance of rapid, on-site IT support when circumstances require it.
reportIT
With so much going on behind the scenes we are keen to demonstrate our performance. Our monthly reports show key items such as issues resolved, uptime on servers and internet connections.
We can use such reports to demostrate and discuss areas which perhaps need investment allowing you to better budget your IT spend.
Our reporting tools can also show the assets tags of all the computer hardware you have and software installed. This can be vital in keeping track of hardware and also software licenses.
